I have talked it up with myrepublic, they told me a tech sugests that 1.2km and .4 line gives me bad speeds.

Anyone here good at this stuff can tell me by these linestats?

Also the install was pretty shotty leaving wires exposed etc, i just had to tidy it up myself by removing old adsl wires a stray.

No master splitter was installed either, nor was the gray phone post at the front checked prior to install or after for any sort of deterioration.

That's probably about right for that distance.

what have MRP done to that poor UI!

very much agree with @sbiddle that it is about right.

Although i would recommend a master filter installed if you want to try to sqeeze what you can out of the line to see if its worth staying on VDSL.

Hi there,

The Chorus tech should have put in a Master filter as part of the install for your Boost VDSL connection.

Our support team can arrange for Chorus to send a tech round to check the filter but please be advised that if they come back with No Fault Found, then you would be charged for the call out fee.

Please DM us or get in touch with our support team if you'd like us to get that done for you.

Cheers,

The Team @ MyRepublic

Yeah, i have discussed this MyRepublic

I traced the line into the house from outside, as it wasn't conventionally in the garage, hidden under the house, no Filter installed.

Also, no attempt to disconnected any of the other jacks tho they were a absolute mess (not that this was necessary, but a filter should of been place on the line anyway)

The current line in goes directed to the dsl jack, nothing splitting it, this also runs next to 5 meters of electrical cable, which i would rather have a new cable separated from the existing one.

Do MYR to the Boost VDSL product rather than WVS?
