When I was on fibre 100 with the white router I had almost zero issues with my iPad but over wifi. With gig fibre and the new fritzbox I'm having nothing but issues with my iPad. Games/apps having to reconnect frequently, videos being unable to stream without resetting my router. Are there settings in the fritzbox for wifi that have to be manually altered that didn't have to be on my other router?

Fritzbox wifi is pretty bad to be honest. I always get drop outs.
Perhaps try to update the firmware on it to see if that helps. (unless you have updated the firmware and thats when the problem started?)

Nah it's been like this since I got it. With that white router Orcon forced firmware updates out, and a few rollbacks - I haven't heard if that's the same or different with this one. Hopefully someone from Orcon can weigh in on that. Really hope I'm not stuck with 2 years of abysmal wifi performance.

Have you tried "reset network settings" on the ipad?

I think so but not 100% sure so just reset them now. Will post back if things improve.

Tried that and also tried google DNS and open DNS to see if there was any difference (although unsure if those DNS need to be set at router level or just on iPad) - no difference though. The only thing that ever speeds up my iPad is a restart of my router, than I get a few hours of normal speed, then have to restart router again.

Extremely frustrating, I really hope one of the Orcon employees here can comment on the wifi issues Fritzbox seems to have!!

fritzbox has terrible wifi, great router, just really realy bad wifi.

Just buy a wireless access point and use that, ubiquiti unifi one would do nicely.

I disabled 5Ghz wifi and forced the iPad to use 2.4Ghz, connection to Games, Plex, YouTube, etc is now stable. I don't believe the white modem had two wifi signals (5 and 2.4) so that's one problem hopefully sorted.
