Have two clients having issues with POPing and SMTP to pop.snap.net.nz/smtp.snap.net.nz - Randomly timing out/going slow
2Degrees Helpdesk not aware of any issue - anyone else seeing this before I dig into it in a big way?

same problem here, (tauranga), been happening for 2 or 3 days now. checked all settings, still not connecting randomly, or very slowly. webmail is ok.
yep, my Ipad is very slow to fetch email on fibre100 connection. Former snap customer if that makes a difference
Same here.
Was intermittent last month - now worse here.
Average over 1 minute to Authenticate pop.
Occasionally timeouts or asks again for password!
Webmail is fine.
Pop3/smtp all ok again at 11.45 a.m. interested to see how long it lasts.
Was just writing the same.
Hope it lasts too.

Thanks for the posts on this, we have been able to isolate the cause and remedy this, everything should be back to normal as of around 11.30 this morning.

Using ISP provided email accounts and email servers is generally not recommended. Use a specialist - gmail, fastmail, office365, etc.
