Since signing up to Orcon 100/20 fibre we have had frequent speed issues the worst being around a month ago and again today where the internet has been effectively unusable due to speeds of 3-4Mbps download and 5-10Mbps upload, the first time I had this issue it lasted for several days eventually coming right but the issue has now returned as of today. I have made calls to Orcon technical support and done the usual restarting the router and ONT, resetting the router and running frequent speed tests before being escalated. As of now with unusable internet yet again and no idea how long it will last this time.

Has anyone else had any similar issues? This has been frequent I am starting to wonder whether Orcon can actually provide me with reliable fibre.

Are you based in the South Island by chance?

We have had a double fibre cut so bandwidth into Christchurch/Dunedin is limited tonight until its fixed.

Ah, that must be why I'm seeing frequent packet losses tonight (in Nelson).
