Anyone else getting an extra ~100ms on everything and slower downloads ?

Tracing route to geekzone.co.nz [104.24.3.14]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1    <1 ms    <1 ms    <1 ms  192.168.1.1
  2    96 ms    91 ms    86 ms  111-69-1-254.core.snap.net.nz [111.69.1.254]
  3   107 ms   102 ms   106 ms  snap1.ape.nzix.net [192.203.154.120]
  4   105 ms    90 ms    98 ms  cloudflare.ape.nzix.net [192.203.154.51]
  5    95 ms    98 ms    95 ms  104.24.3.14

I've check the interface on my router and its not being hammered.

Called support and they knew nothing.

Where you are based?

I'm not on 2degrees but in Christchurch and getting similar high pings and sluggish performance. Thought it was my wifi at first.

Things seems to have eased off and performance snappy again now that it is past peak hours.

Hi all,

Can those affected please PM us here with your broadband customer number, connection type and location, as well as the sites you are having trouble accessing, and I'll pass this over to our network team to check out. At this stage we can't see anything obvious on our side, this information will help us narrow this down.

Thanks,

Ralph ^JOB

Fibre in Tauranga was crappy again last night.

About 9.45pm netflix was dropping back to what looked like 360p, for a while. Seems to have come right?

This is the 2nd time in the last week (See here for the 1st - Geekzone)

Starting to feel like choosing 2degrees fibre was a mistake.

On a tangent - don't 2degrees have their own netflix cache?

PM sent. Would be nice to get this fixed, support really wasn't that interested in investigating.

Hi MrRex and Yitz,

Out of curiosity, which part of Christchurch are you in? Feel free to PM this if you are uncomfortable posting publicly. While you aren't with us, this info may correlate to what we believe the issue to be.

Thanks,
