Hey everyone,

Today I got an call from Orcon saying that they will upgrade me from VDSL to UFB, I asked the 21 questions about it of course being very very weary about this.  The thing that I cannot understand is the last 4 years they have been telling me that I cannot get it due to my credit history (not with them but with dun and bradstreet) and as from my last post we know that I had got that sorted.

My landlord has said yes go ahead.

But my questions are:

1) Why do they need to ask my neighbours if their ok with me having fiber?

2) Why the sudden change that I apparently am allowed fiber now, and how did I all of a sudden qualify for fiber?

3) They reckon that I now qualify, why does it need a credit check?

I'm really unsure about this and how fast its come about really since now its 5 years that I have been with orcon.

Hi DarkShadow,

I don't have a shared driveway.  The place I live in is an 3 bedroom house :-).
