So, elderly mother is going to have a go at getting fibre installed. She would like all the phone jacks working as they are currently due to one phone in a garage at the back of the section, i don't think a cordless handset will reach this far. First inspection is on Wednesday.

Based on my install they like to install the ONT near a power plug and a phone jackpoint so they can wire one of the jackpoints directly into the ONT.

She doesn't have any jackpoints near any power plugs.

What is the best approach for this, will the installers run another cable to a new jackpoint, or is there another approach? We 100% don't want any trippable extension cables or the like lying around.

Anyone have any advice?

Maybe have it in the lounge?

I finally got fiber, and I have my ONT on the wall in the lounge.
