iPhone SE 16GB for $549 and iPhone SE 64GB for $649.

There is talk of a new SE coming out next month so they might be clearing the current stock.

I thought the whole point of the SE was a standard design standard hardware for long term support. Not to replace it every 6 months with a SE-S

Most likely is a storage bump to 32GB/128GB
It's been nearly a year since launch.

That's not an Apple tactic I've ever known :)

The price should *be* $200, for the hardware you are getting, but that is also not an Apple tactic.
Where does it say the new price on the apple website?

It doesn't; as stated in the first post Apple is still selling at the old price. Only 2D is offering the cheaper price.

It isn't reduced on the Apple website, only on 2degrees:

^That's usually how things play out.
Usually we see them on 1-Day for $100 more than the Telco's before it gets much attention.
I usually use 1-day as a gauge when the iPhone prices are about to, or have changed.
I see that Warehouse Stationary is also having a special on them currently.
Has anyone bought one recently?
If they re-release the phone as 32GB and 128GB models, then right now we have a small window of opportunity to get twice the storage of the new base model for $100 less.
I would like to buy one, but what's been putting me off for the last year is the TSMC/Samsung lottery.
They did exactly what I thought they'd do in re-releasing at 32 and 128GB, except the muppets have jacked up the price of the bigger model to $950 again.
The $650 64GB stock is still available, and now even more attractive.
