Reading through the threads in here it looks like there was (as might eb expected) a large voume of orders when the LLU packages launched. What sort of turnaround time should I now expect for an order? I put my order in over the weekend but havn't yet received any form of acknowledgement.

Cheers,

Martin

Hi Martin,

If you placed your order over the weekend you should receive an email over the next couple of days (by Wednesday at the latest) that lets you know what date has been set for your transfer.

Usually you should get this email the next working day provided you pass the credit check and there are no problems with the order (if there are you will get an email letting you know what they are instead - e.g. incorrect Telecom account number).

We have been getting LLU orders faster than we had anticipated, hence the longer than usaual wait times. Apologies for the delay, we are training more staff to cope with this extra demand.

I placed my order on Tuesday night and was up and running by Friday!  So it's possible that things can happen quickly.  Maybe too quickly, because I have yet to receive any "Welcome" pack or anything of that sort.  I did get an email from provisioning telling me what username to use in my modem (although it works with my old ISPs detailsat the moment).

But things like how to set up my voicemail I have no idea!  I'm assuming they'll send me something to welcome me into the fold?  I suppose I could search for the info myself (just did and found it pretty easily) but still should everyone be expected (or able) to do that?

Maybe this could help? (Orcon+ network customers only)

Yeah, I know. Like I said, I found it when I got around to searching for it :) Just thought all that stuff could be included in the provisioning email they send out.

Well, it's Wednesday and no email so far. I'll keep an eye out for it today.

I signed up last week and still hadn't received any email, called them today. Everything is being processed but was told RFS is 5/5 so thats 1 month to get connected.

Guy I signed up with told me it would definitely be April. Staff are friendly enough and helpful but 1 month is far to long Frown

1 week from request to implementation for me.

I didn't get the notification email however and had to follow up on the phone.

Their service desk were very professional and I have not had any issues since signing up. That plus the fact I am getting the fastest DSL negotiation speeds I've ever experienced is making me pretty happy (and I am a good distance from the exchange). 10Mbit Down and 1Mbit up.

Only downside at the second is the lack of VOIP service. 2talk.co.nz is filling that gap for the moment.

Also looks like my homehub has going missing in the post as well. 4 Phonecalls to them with everyone of them saying they will call me back with a track n trace and no ones bothered to call.

Apparently they sent it out on wednesday and no one seems sure of where they sent it or if its even been delivered.

Rapidly losing faith here!

I've been away on holiday for a week, but before I went I finally got an update on my order (thanks to Duncan chasing). Looking like 6th May for my cutover, so that'll be about 3 weeks from placement of order.

3 weeks was about the longest that lead times got out to for a while there. We are back down to ~2 weeks for orders placed at the moment, and it looks like it will slowly come down from there.

BAU should see lead times around 5-8 working days.
