Have you asked them directly on the phone? You've essentially answered your own question unless if Orcon don't have the handovers in place.

Yes I have and they reckoned they don't have it here where as UFF say that I can have it here.  So when does Orcon roll this out for Tokoroa?

If UFF say it's available then check their website for local retailers. http://www.ultrafastfibre.co.nz/get-ultrafast/.

If Orcon don't know when they will offer gigabit fibre, how would anyone on GZ know?

In an area with such a small number of customers clearly a larger handover to support 1Gbps plans simply doesn't stack up. Orcon, like a number of other RSP's don't provide Gigabit in every UFB area.

99.9% of UFB customers aren't going to notice a real world difference between 200/200 and 1Gbps. If you are in that 0.1% my suggestion would be moving to a RSP who does offer it.
