Just wondering if anyone know that there're default firewall rules on the NF4V orcon white genius modem?

When I checked mine it's empty, yet when I do a scan on GRC ShieldsUP most of the ports are showing up being rejected out right.

I'm on UFB, so perhaps there's a firewall in the Chorus ONT?

Anyone know how these are all setup? And if possible, how to close all the ports as I can see many < 1024 ports are showing up as "closed" right now.

So it's responding to the outside...

Of course there will be the default preset of rules that allow NAT to work, they are baked into the firmware and loaded each time the device boots up. For example on Netcomms you can telnet in and issue iptables --list to view them.
