I am on the $39 per month plan, and was just starting to run out of data. I phoned up and they gave me the bonus 1GB of extra data per month for new signups despite having been on that plan for approx 3 years. Glad that they are looking after me as my total monthly spend is apporx $198 PM. (Fibre, mobile, + other addons)

Just posting this to help balance out the threads that are about problems.

That is why I said what my total monthly spend is. There is probably an internal policy that gives guidelines for when staff are allowed to go beyond advertised offers. And to also give 2degrees an "out" if they were to get bombarded with people wanting the same offer. Who would say - I want it because aredwood got it.

Getting the data upgrade wasn't the reason I called them. It was actually a question about possibly upgrading to a different plan. But they offered me the data bonus without me needing to ask for it.

At the other end of the spend spectrum, I'm on 2degrees $19 prepaid plan - I'm not a heavy user of my mobile. I get the market-usual allowances for calls, data (0.5G, which they very recently increased to 1G per month) and unlimited texts.

The positive differences from other major carriers are:

- unused data and call minutes roll over each month

- unmetered calls to other mobiles on the 2degrees network. My wife, son, brother, sister-in-law and many other family and friends are with 2° so this particular plan is a winner for us.

Have set up monthly auto-payment via their site so prepaid is no hassle from that perspective. Another satisfied 2degrees customer.

Also I quite like the idea of a 'market disrupter' as a matter of principle.

The only small beef I have with them is that their website is somewhat clunky and non-intuitive to use - almost a bit amateurish and not slick.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I'm on the $49 plan and have been for ages and when the 2Gb extra data for a year promo for new users came up I read the terms and conditions and WooHoo! existing customers were eligible. One very short phone call later and an extra 2gb per month for a year. and after 3 months got a text saying it had been extended to 2 years. :-)
