Hiya,

I'm with Orcon with VDSL, living on Rangatira Rd, Beach Haven (around 60) .
Upgraded to VDSL this year in mid Februrary.
Recently (over the last couple of weeks, only bothered looking into it now) our connection has been going kinda haywire in terms of latency.

Initially latency was sitting at ~40ms in League of Legends and then spiking to ~250 every 10 seconds roughly then going down to ~40 again, same issue in Discord (Voice application) and Overwatch (another video game), now it seems to go up to 300 and is much more inconsistent, rarely seeing ~40ms any more, and just jumps around from 50 to 300 while typically being in the 100 - 250 range when it is occurring.

Noticing it in video games (League of Legends) along with voice applications (Discord) don't use much else personally in the house so not sure about others. Initially when it started (a month ago, maybe sooner) it seemed like there was no packet loss when we first noticed it, but it seems to be occurring now.

I believe the wiring in this house may be pretty bad and the house is around 50m from the road. I'm aware bad wiring can cause quite bad signal issues with VDSL however the issue seems to have popped up randomly, and the VDSL connection had been fine until this issue has popped up.

There is no master splitter or any direct connection to the router from the demarc. Not sure if that was supposed to be done when they upgraded us we just got mailed the modem.

Got a few questions, any ideas what could cause this (will ring Orcon soon but likely cannot today) or if there is anything I can to do fix it and also what would I have to do to get a master splitter or some direct connection to the router installed and is it worth it.

Here is the stats from the modem not sure of all the stuff you guys might need so just ask and I'll post any more info needed..

The exchange is opposite mint leaf, google puts you at 550m from there so 600m including your lead in. Would have expected more on a 6dB profile.
