Hello

Just bought a new house and it seems the previous owners tenants have taken the ONT power cable with them.  Looks like an 8 Pin Molex connector.  Are these easy to get a hold of?

I had an email through on Thursday 6/7/17 advising that it's "almost the big day" for my fibre connection scheduled for 6/7/17, and that i should receive a phone call from a technician which never happened so I can only assume that the install was done remotely due to the pre-existing ONT/ETP?

call your ISP and ask them for a new one.

Logical thing to do, I thought I'd ask here before I get put through to someone in the Philippines.  Also the ONT is Chorus property so not sure the ISP will have these lying around, figured rather than going through the rigmarole of another installation booking I'd ask if someone knew of a wholesaler that sold this particular cable/power pack that I could just buy one from.

Your provider can request Chorus courier a new power cable out, no tech needed.

Chorus will have a standard process for these. Units that burn out, get chewed by animals etc... power connectors have a hard life...

Although in most of the cases it's just stolen, like OP's.

Yup. These sort of threads come up semi-regularly. I have no idea why people steal them as it's not a particularly common connector!
