In my last Orcon bill they charged me for a couple of 0800 131415 calls I made on September 29. That 0800 number is actually Orcon's own call centre where I called to report issues with their internet service.

I contacted them by email 5 days ago and still haven't received a response. I'm afraid to call their 0800 call centre again since they will probably charge me again for it.

Really don't know what to think, but I can't recall last time I was this dumbfounded by what has transpired.

Hi there,

We certainly haven't started charging for 0800 calls - but it sounds like something is up with your account.

Can you please PM me some account details and we'll get to the bottom of it!

Cheers

Some businesses make a distinction between 0800 calls from land lines and from cellphones. Could this be the case here?

I called from landline obviously, that's the only phone Orcon charges us for.
