Is there going be any price changes coming due Vodafone launching new plans . Can now get gigabyte fiber unlimited for $110 and 100meg/bit by 100meg/bit unlimited for $99 or same price for 200 meg/bit by 200 meg/bit plan

As much as I dislike Vodafone, $20/month difference in the max speed plan is enough to tempt me to switch. 2degrees is now among the most expensive of all providers.

back in the snap days, they never were the cheapest.

What they did have is a solid network and Mark Petrie, my favourite two factors when i used them back then.

I'd hope atleast one of these is still true :)

As far as I can tell, that price is for online only support. They reserve the right to charge for phone support. And more importantly, do Vodafone still use their horrible proxy servers? If they still do, then that would be a dealbreaker for me. And if you are in an HFC area, they will push you onto cable instead of fibre.

Also AFAIK 2degrees are the only company to offer a landline number that forwards to my mobile for a fixed fee. Which is important for me. And Google Play billing to my 2deg account is also useful.

@aredwood What proxy servers on fixed line xDSL or Fibre?? Vodafone have offered GN on mobile for many years for a fixed fee

If you are in a HFC area a customer can request to be moved to fibre

Do Vodafone offer landline to mobile numbers on personal mobile plans? My understanding is that It is only available on business plans.

As for the proxy / cache servers, my understanding is that they operated on what was the TCL fixed line and HFC network that Vodafone inherited. And that sometimes websites would refuse to work properly because those servers were caching data that they shouldn't. I would be happy if they have been removed.

According to https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=40&topicid=217741 Only the retention team are able to approve a customer getting UFB in an area where Vodafone can provide FibreX. Will they do this for a new signup, including if UFB is in the street, but hasn't yet been extended to the house.
