Just came accross this address today, http://tv.orcon.net.nz
It's a "Secured-Area" maybe this is where they were/are testing out there on demand TV...?

ok so something is going on there. just tried https and got

certificate error

then it displayed SQL errors

If I recall correctly, Orcon used to offer free hosting with a *.orcon.net.nz some years ago, this seems to match up with the 2002 thing anyway. :)

However:

tv.orcon.net.nz: The IP address for the name tv.orcon.net.nz is 219.88.240.130 (ip-219-88-240-130.orcon.net.nz).
