I've had some staff testing the new Nokia 3 on the 2Degrees network in Christchurch. They're reporting lots of dropped calls.

Has anyone had similar experiences with these phones? I like them for the stock Android experience as they are very easy for end users to setup and well priced for what you get.  (although intend on going with Nokia 5 when stock more available)

The Nokia handsets are exclusive to Spark, but not locked. Daughter's got a Nokia 8 from us as Christmas gift, using on Vodafone, no problems. Not sure about 2degrees, but wouldn't anticipate problems seeing it works fine on Vodafone.

My father uses the nokia 5 on Vodafone without any problems. Only thing was that we had to enter in all vodafones settings to get mobile internet working, as by default it didn't work or automatically fill in the settings.

Hi @Ramjet99,

Based on the specifications available online for the Nokia 3 it should be compatible with our network, but no guarantees. It should support our 3G and 4G networks, as well as 2G (but this is being shut down in March).

If you're having issues with calls dropping, I'd recommend contacting our team on 0800 022 022 to go through some troubleshooting if you haven't already. Otherwise send us a PM with your mobile number and 4-digit PIN, and at least 3 examples of a call dropping within the last week (including the exact date/time). Our technical team can then check into this to see what's causing the drop.

Cheers,
^BRM
