I placed a UFB order on Friday 2nd Feb, for a house which already has UFB installed. This was as early as I could place the order, but knowing there was a live connection already assumed it might take a few days to get in place (I was quickly corrected on the phone when the rep told me it takes a minimum of 5 working days).
Today got a text from Enable, saying the connection will be live in 3 days as 'we note your property has been connected in the past'. That will be 10 business days.
What is the hold up? ADSL porting was able to be done in a matter of hours - is this just because Enable doesn't have suitable provisioning tools available to the RSP?
Anyway, this isn't a complaint just genuinely shocked that it can take so long to be processed
