I have just ported an 021 number from skinny to a new 2degrees account. The port initially appeared to go through okay, but……; Long story short, anyone that I know who has called me from the Vodafone mobile network get a message from spark saying that my number is no longer allocated to a phone. Receiving calls from landlines and the spark network appear to be getting through to me okay.

I called 2degrees support who went through the APN and network settings on my phone, all of which appeared okay. At this point the support person seemed stumped and asked me to take note of when this problem occurs and wait and see what happens.

I can’t really take note of when this happens as I don’t always know what calls aren’t getting through which I pointed out. I tried the sim in a spare phone this morning with the same outcome.

Anyone else had a similar problem, and how was it resolved? If not, would the friendly 2degrees geekzone rep be able to look into this for me?

Thanks in advance.

Please tell me you are joking? " I called 2degrees support who went through the APN and network settings "

APN settings are only for mobile data access

@2degreescare you might want to pick this one up and pass to your porting team ASAP it's a very quick fix

No, not joking. I figured this was just a first-line response that I had to get through so I went with it :)

How long ago was your number ported? It's normal about another hour afterwards all carriers have updated routing tables

Call 2D support and ask for the issue to be passed to the porting team to look into it's not a issue related to your handset or any settings on it

Okay, I'll try and force my way past the help-desk this time. I told the rep straight up that I thought I had a porting issue, but he wasn't buying that. Hence I came here.

Hi @Resnick can you PM us your original SIM 022 number, your ported in number and 4 digit PIN please? There were issues with Porting across networks over the weekend which may have caused this.

Anyhoo, we'll check things out with our Porting team.

Thanks
