Can anyone confirm that with the 2degrees prepay carryover plans, can you freely switch between plans each month, and keep any carryover data?

I presume this is the case (after trying to read website terms), but just wanted to confirm before proceeding to do this with a secondary device.

e.g. first month purchase $49 plan for 10 GB, and then the next 5 months use the $9 plan (250 MB), giving a total of 11490 Mb (11.22 GB) to use over 6 months at cost of $94
And every now and then purchase a one off $49 plan to increase data.

(disclaimer: looking at more flexible data options instead of 2D $99 for 12 gb / 6 month zone data plan, for mobile broadband at a bach, where usage changes every month, depending on time of the year)

Yes you can. 100% this works. So long as don't have a time where one pack isn't active.

If a pack doesn't renew for whatever reason and you don't fix it within 14 days of the renewal ending you'll lose the carryover. During the 14days the data will be frozen too.

Hi @snowfly,

Carryover data is yours to keep as long as you have one of our Carryover Combos active. So absolutely you can stay on the $9 Combo and just add the $49 Combo when you need a boost :)

Is this 100% correct?

I've been thinking of shifting from pay monthly to prepay (since I don't really use that much of the pay monthly plan data and minutes), and rang customer service, who assured me I would keep all my data and minutes....

You keep them when going prepay to postpay. You lose them when going postpay to prepay.

@2degreesCare - I noticed today that the $9 carryover combo is no longer advertised on the 2degrees website? But it still shows up in the mobile app as an available add-on to purchase.

I hope this doesn't mean the $9 carryover combo is being phased out?? :(
As I'm using it as per my original post, one month of $49 combo, then few months of $9 combo, and back to the $49 combo as required.

I just mentioned it at a meeting I was in - apparently, the decision to drop it from the web site but keep it in the app was deliberate because Reasons. I can however confirm once again that it isn't being phased out - it's just not on the main part of the web site.

It's like the OP read my mind, then I saw the post was started in April.

I was looking at doing something similar; I originally got a 2nd SIM from Warehouse Mobile for my extra data requirements, but even though WM is a "reseller" of 2D, I started to get very poor performance from my WM connection so I have since given up on that SIM card.

Just to confirm how I would do this - I need to stop my $19 combo from auto renewing before the 25th, add the larger combo on the 25th, stop that from auto renewing before the 25th of next month and purchase either the $9 or $19 combo again, letting it renew until such a point that I need to boost my carry over data again

From memory when I last did it via the app, if you want to change combo's just purchase the larger or smaller combo (ideally just before your current one renews), and it replaces your current one. No need to stop your current one.
And if you don't change, your current combo automatically renews (as long as you have funds).

@2degreesCare may want to confirm.
