I was just testing this out.  If there is a voice message how do we know we have one?

I have set up the voice message with a PIN etc.  It doesn't say online, maybe I have been with them since the Snap days so we do get a email notification about missed calls and voice messages.  If it wasn't for the email notification how do we know?  When I lift the landline handset up there is also no pulsing tone.

Cheers.

Hi @rayonline,

That's correct - we don't have a dial tone when you have a Voicemail message. As you mentioned, you can enable email notifications for Voicemail.

Alternatively, if you're using a Fritz!Box modem the "Internet" light on the modem (with a phone icon next to it) will flash if you have a voicemail message.

I just did another test and left a voice message.

I am using a Fritz!Box but the Internet light isn't blinking.  Do I need to use the Fritz!Box voicemail feature?  I am only using the default configuration - Home Phone Plus.

Ensure you have it enabled in the Fritz system settings.

System > Buttons and LEDs > Freely Selectable Options dropdown (for Info LED) > Select New answering machine message: LED flashes option (or the option for both answering machine & missed calls flashes, whichever you prefer)

Thanks for that.  Working now.  Info light blinks.
