Hi,

After a bit of Orcon bashing that I did a few months back I think it's best to tell you about the experience I just had.

My broadband went down at 9:40 tonight.

I called and was greeted with more options that I got in the past, and one especially for the new orcon + services!! Wow I thought AWESOME!

Also I noticed that the help desk was not closed!! AWESOME!!

About 2 mins later someone answered!! AWESOME!!

During the port reset something happened and my line went dead.

I called back and after a short wait talked to someone who knew what was going on, seemed to be very onto it! AWESOME!!

Then I managed to cut him off by unplugging the phone by accident, he was lodging a fault ticket, he never called me back but ... 10 mins later, my ADSL line went off completly, then back on and WOW internet back on!!!!

Now I tell you, this is a huge turn around from before, i'm really impressed Orcon, well done, fast prompt onto it help desk people, gives me faith in you once more!!!!!

And i'm still getting 17mbs!!!!!

WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very happy!!!

Hmmm... I've actually found that orcon has always had awesome customer service. Maybe I've been lucky. But the few times I've needed to I've got to someone pretty quickly and they have been pretty onto it.

The thing that makes me think about leaving is that they don't seem to have enough bandwidth at peak times and the data caps/plans are pretty low. but I think most of that is just a symptom of our internet industry.

I've been with Orcon for a couple of years now and have never been a problem with their service. I had a network outage several months ago, and after a call to Orcon tech support, it was back up within about 2 hours.
