Hi There,

I am making this post for a family friend looking for a adult content block for their kids. I see Orcon has this feature.

Does this block google image searches? I know OpenDNS doesn't just wondered if Orcon has different smarts?

I find the DNS based filters can be hit and miss. I use Qustodio at home for the kids, works well and quite flexible. Just using the free account.

Unless something has changed (@sounddude ?) the Orcon platform is not a DNS only based platform, its a proper firewall based platform that will enforce safesearch etc without a heavy handed blanket block.

Not DNS based, uses a filtering product to inspect the packets.

So does that mean it does block google images search?

Only "bad" images, not image searches. All image searches will be "safesearch" forced as well. In general you will not notice its turned on, you just won't see any NSFW content. Well that's how it was when it was first setup and I't unlikely to have changed much.
