Hi

I'm trying to put my Orcon NF4v into full bridge mode so I can connect up my Ubiquiti USG.

Has anyone done this ? I've also got a phone line - So i don't wanna remove that functionality - I've looked on Netcomms site and followed the full bridge mode guide (below), but haven't had much success in getting it to work....

https://support.netcommwireless.com/sites/default/files/BCS-NF4V.pdf.pdf

Hoping someone has done a setup with the USG with this modem.

Thanks in advance

VDSL  which i believe is ATM - everytime i've tried to follow the netcomm guide the ATM option is all that shows up ....

VDSL is PTM.

Obviously you're never going to have the ATA in the Netcomm router working when the router is in bridge mode - this simply isn't possible because of the fact the router is in bridge mode and therefore has no way to route traffic or bind to an IP address.

Those instructions are for ADSL, not VDSL.

Thanks for that

Sounds like either way even if I get the bridging to work my VOIP service will be disabled which I still require...

If you want voice you'll need to buy another VDSL2 modem and configure that for bridge mode leaving the NF4V for voice plugged into the router.

You will need another device to do both voice and bridge.

configuring a nf4v for bridge is very easy.

gotcha is to watch out, differance between tagged and untagged is a ticket of a box. (although how that looks to your USG is simply the difference between tagging there and not too)

Thanks alot for your help !!

From everything i've heard it sounds like i'm better off just waiting for Fibre to roll out in my area which is meant to be happening end of the year.

I'm still going to have the phone issue with the NF4v ... But hoping i can use the USG and plug in the NF4v for VOIP - have no idea how to configure this so if anyone else has done it and has some sort of guide that will be awesome !
