Morning everyone,

For weeks I've been struggling to get Apple HomeKit working reliably at home. It'll work perfectly 30% of the time, take forever to get a response 30% of the time, and the other 40% it just fails.

More recently I noticed that  a Baby Monitor app we use wouldn't connect to the child unit over Wifi like it used to. It would insist on going out to the cloud service and back in.

I've been trying various things on the the devices and the Fritz!Box without any luck. Yesterday I hooked up my old Netgear router and instantly everything just works (... except IPv6 of course).

Does anyone know of any issues with Bonjour on the 7490 - or any other theories I may have missed?? Googling shows various reports where multicast has issues but the hacks for that require telnet which they've now disabled. This also doesn't seem to fit because all the devices were on the same 2.4GHz WiFi network and the issues relate to multicast crossing interfaces.

There is a setting for allowing or blocking communications between different WiFi devices. Is that set to block?

Thanks for the reply Aredwood - I've been meaning to reply for a while but a) I've got a workaround so it hasn't been a priority and b) I can never find that setting. I know the one you mean and communication is allowed.

Interestingly, this seems to have been resolved now I've updated to Fritz!OS 7.0.
