Called support and they are aware of the password change link(for email) being broken.. I was able to get them to change my password however they can only change it to a computer generated one on their end

Can an orcon rep confirm when we will be able to change the passwords ourselves again?

I advised them around Sept last year that the link was broken. they also reset it to a computer-generated one for me. Still using it.

I got this sorted, thanks to @bameron

As in many places there is a disconnect between the front line staff, techs and documentation

email is still hosted on older infrastructure so when you log into your "My Orcon" using your email address and password with the intent of changing your email password you're actually logged into their newer infrastructure where theres a disconnect with the old so changing your password there only results in an account password change

now logging into the "My Orcon" with just your username (no @orcon) and password will log you into their older infrastructure and the change password function there works for email - you'll know you're in the right place because the page looks like something out of the early 2000's ;)

Looks like there was intent for the new page to have a link to log you into the old infrastructure but must be a bit harder than it looks - my guess is the redirect recognises you're logged in with your email address but the old requires the username and thats whats creating the loopback

It may still require a support call to have a password reset to get into the old infrastructure, but for me that was painless.. Orcons call center is so much better these days, great work on bringing it back home Orcon :)

@dt Thanks for that. I'll have a crack at it.
