Not losing connection with my router but since midnight it has lost the ability to connect to anything three times. Resetting the router each time fixes it for a bit but then it drops again. Once again Orcon not posting anything on the trouble shooting page so thought i'd try here. I'm in Unsworth Heights area.

Now the internet is working wired (pc/tv) but wirelessly everything connected is getting "no internet connection" messages.

I'm doing nightshift at the moment and our upstream connectivity goes through Vocus, everything went down roughly at the same time your internet went down so I'm guessing Vocus (owners of Orcon and Slingshot) are having trouble.

Yeah my ipad connects to the router and gets a Data Rate of 0 / 24, and a no internet connection message. It's working on PC though so using that for a bit before bed.

It wasn't working for me this morning either.

This was part of planned work. Upgrades upgrade upgrades! The growth we are seeing from UFB is huge (which is great) but means eventually we need to put in bigger kit to cater for it.

If you are still having issues, let us know.

All we ask is that the network status page gets updated, especially if it’s planned.

Rambaldi: Midnight isn’t early hours of the morning.

@Rambaldi Are you joking? 1 second past midnight is early hours of the morning! Are you aware of AM / PM?

24 hour time 00:01 is morning (AM)

@Rambaldi Are you a managed service customer? Planned work is covered under the terms and conditions

@Linux Wow we have someone with a massive ego here! Multiple people have asked for years for them to update their network status page. There's nothing wrong with them doing planned work, in the slightest. Orcon rep's in the past have said they would update the page more and haven't.

Early hours of the morning would be 3-5am, midnight is technically the beginning of the day but your definitely the first person i've ever seen refer to midnight as the early morning.

Just for your information Linux, you in fact are NOT the most important person in the world.

All Telcos generally start planned work at midnight / 1am which is early morning hours of the morning (I did this for many years raising CR's (Change Request) so if an outage / issues happen between these times up to 5am

Then 99% planned work

Still having this problem by the way and Orcon's status page says...

Fibre browsing issues

26/09/2018 10:29 AM - Some fibre customers in Auckland are having issues browsing over the Internet. This is under investigation with our network engineers. We apologise for the inconvenience.

....so day two with no internet. On top of the day a couple of weeks ago with no internet.
