Hi team,

Has anyone had luck getting DDNS/NAT/Port Forwarding working with MyRepublic? I'd configured Router/Servers Portforwarding OK on Spark before moving house and changing ISP to MyRepublic.

Main issue seems to be that the IP address I've been given looks like a private IP on the router status, DDNS reports a different one.

I raised this in another thread and got told there was something other than CGNAT going on and I wasn't following forum rules.

TIA.

Well if you don't have a public IP you're not going to be able to port forward.

And I won't bother discussing port forwarding to CCTV equipment and why you should never do that because I already do that every other week when somebody posts that on here abd sound like a stuck record.

You should also never port forward to RDP either. This should never be exposed to the Internet.

We have a "Port forward to CCTV" post every week. Every week the replies are "unless you have a VPN don't do it".

The security risks are too high.
