Hi,

Is anyone else having problems with Orcon and IPv4 on UFB in Auckland? IPv6 seems to be working fine. I can access Google, Geekzone, Facebook, wikipedia etc. But sites which don't have IPv6, e.g. nzherald, twitter don't work. Disabling IPv6 kills all sites. Testing with a site which checks both confirms v6 is working but no v4.

Pinging working both via IPv4 and IPv6. But it happens with both HTTPS and HTTP. Also I tried one FTP site (ftp.uni-erlangen.de) on port 21 and aspmx.l.google.com on port 25 and smtp.gmail.comon port 587 with basic raw connection via PuTTY, same difference. Can connect to them on IPv6, on IPv4 it times out.

My home phone line via Orcon seems to be fine, but no idea whether it's using IPv6 or v4. Have tried restarting the router but not the ONT. Have tried two different computers and a phone. Smart phone works fine with everything when on mobile data, but not on wifi.

Surprised I couldn't find any reports since it's been going on at least since 1 pm I think, is it just me?

I'm not sure if it's of any help to you but feel free to PM me with your WAN IPV4 address and IPV6 address of a host on your network and I will ping them for you.

Thanks, but worked it out. Not long after I posted (so about 3 hours after it stopped working)  I got an SMS (and not long after that an email) saying I'd been cut off because my account was overdue.

I'd set up an automatic credit card payment but on the day payment was due so guess it was too late. I did get an email saying it was overdue the day after that but I was wondering if it would take the payment over the next few days (it did say was set up for automatic payment). Then forgot to check again. Was also expecting they'd send another email before they cut me off but guess not. (I'm not saying they are required to, I'm sure they're entitled to cut me off the moment the account is overdue.)

Anyway guess they forgot to add IPv6 to their suspension system.....
