Hey guys,

Does anyone have any visibility in to the Chorus outage currently affecting Timaru? We've been offline for about 8 hours now, though most others we've talked to are still online. I'm not sure what specifically has taken us down (though we are on gig which is maybe a little rarer?).

I don't see anything on the 2d nor other ISP status pages, just a generic Chorus fibre outage notice on their own map, saying 16 services are affected and the expected resolution time is 4.15pm tomorrow (24 hours later).

We're not too fussed but I am curious; this is easily the largest outage we've experienced to date, though there is little info out there around it.

Cheers

Looks to be a single linecard on one of the POLT's.

an update was meant to come at 7.15pm, but hasn't as of yet so can't really say much more there.

Ah right, makes sense, cheers for the insight! Looks to have come back at some point today, always interesting to find out what went on though.
