Hi Guys, I picked up an ASUS TR-AC88U because according to this page it works with Orcon fibre.
https://www.pbtech.co.nz/ASUSISPSettings#VDFRTAC

Followed the instructions on the page above yet I am getting an error in the ASUS web portal "Internet Status: Your ISP's DHCP does not function properly"
Triple checked the settings, even updated the firmware but still no luck.

Called Orcon who said they can't offer support for another modem but confirmed the settings that I need

Internet connection type DHCP option 82 orIPOE IP over ethernet

And

VLAN ID 10
Priority 0

Internet connection type does not give DHCP option 82 that I can see or IPOE which I think maybe Wan connection type? It is set at automatic.

VLAN ID and Priotity are correct.

Anyone able to get this running for themselves?

The actual setup is dead simple. The most common problem is routers out there still that don't support VLAN tagging on the WAN port so you can't set a VLAN ID of 10.

Orcon settings are as per above. DHCP + VLAN10

Suggest you contact the support for the router or the retailer you purchased it from if you need help.

As per #sbiddle thats all you have to do, I am on Orcon fibre with an Asus RT-88u and it works fine.

Can you confirm for us all that the fibre work with the Orcon supplied modem?
