Since I have had the new NF18ACV router I am unable to successfully change the HTTP management port on the router.  By default it is on port 80.  However I want to run a webserver which requires NAT on 80.  So I tried changing "management - services control - HTTP LAN from port 80 to 8000 (or also 8080).  When I do this I get the login box but then the webui hangs and does not load.  I have done a factory defaults reset after each try but still not able to successfully change the service port.

Is this an oddity with the Orcon firmware:

NF18ACV

firmware: NF18ACV.NC.Vocus-R6B038.EN

Have you tried just forwarding the port? From memory, those routers will automatically remap themselves when you do, and advise you as such. Worth a swing, might be an easier fix.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

Yep tried that but get error: "this port 80 is used to the Broadband Router HTTP server, Please choose other port."

Hey Andy,

We have had some issues with the RB38 firmware so it looks like we should push the updated version onto your device.

I just had this tested on RB40 so it should resolve the issue.

I'll flick you a private message so I can get the Technical team to do this for you.

Regards,

Matt E

Did the update fix the problem? I'm running NF18ACV.NC.Vocus-R6B040.EN and it didn't fix the problem.

Hi.  Sorry for the late reply.  Yes this firmware fixed my problem so set the webui to a non standard port and am able to pass 80 through NAT.
