I am revisiting this old thread https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=85&topicid=239726 in the hopes that we can make some further progress with:

a) Updating the beta - https://en.avm.de/fritz-lab/fritz-lab-for-fritzbox-7490-and-7590/overview/ and yes I did try this a couple of times

b) Be able to successfully port forward to another router that is hanging off the Fritzbox. I have DMZ'd the Fritzbox and setup the DDNS host so it should pass through the port forwarding rule. It passes the LAN address fine, so I just want to make sure I am doing this part right.

Thanks for your attention.

I have to wonder why you're doing this? Are you on VDSL?

If so, either just use the Fritz!Box (which are actually quite good routers in my testing) or buy a cheap HG659 off Trademe and put it in bridge mode. If you're on UFB you should be able to configure your other router for this task.

DMZ is a terrible way of doing it.

You don't need the Beta SW to do that, I am doing exacctly that with my Fritzbox SW 07.01.

Hi Michael, I'm on UFB but I have another router with features the I'm testing and to be honest, I'd prefer to connect that directly but I haven't yet found a way to assign VLAN 10 on the WAN side of the router so it's hanging off the Fritzbox for the timebeing.

What router is this?
