Is Orcon - Vodafone traffic in Christchurch meant to be routed via Auckland? I'm on Enable fibre, the other person is on Vodafone VDSL if that makes any difference.

We noticed latency of 80ms+ while playing some P2P games (COD4, Quake etc) over the weekend, this has been consistent with his connection to my locally hosted Teamspeak server as well. It's made P2P gaming kinda impossible between us when his latency is higher to me than most Aussie game servers (NSW [40-50ms] or even WA [80-90ms]).

I made a post on the Vodafone forum section last night about this but haven't had any replies so I figured I'd try my luck here as well.
