I see that the new Firmware for the Fritz!box 7490 7.11 is out.  Are we good to upgrade to it?

Cheers

If it's giving you the option to upgrade in the Fritzbox I would do it

just a simple " you can now turn off the LED lights in the interface" makes this a good upgrade.  😃

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Great release notes I wish more hardware vendors would make them nice and clear like this

Then what will you use for a night light in the hall? Lol.

Let us know how you updated people get on. I am still running older firmware than the last update.

I think my devices are transitioning to the 5ghz band a bit better than with the older firmware.

I wonder if the 7390 will get it... it still does get updates sometimes.

Man that's a good changelog. As Linux said, wish more companies (looking at you Ubiquiti, among others) would do this better. 'Misc performance improvements' is not helpful. 😅

Mine really has been one of the best performing, most reliable units I have had in 20+ years.

Ausus, Netgear, TPLink, Belkin, Linksys, D-Link and a brace of no-name OEM units - they have all had something that has annoyed me at some point and some have been plain hot-garbage. So far though, this 7490 just keeps working perfectly.

Nice one Fritzbox - look forward to the new firmware improvements!
