Hi all,

I'm wondering if someone would be able to help with my question. I used to be with 2degrees and I had a landline cause the folks insisted. When I swapped to spark, I got a runaround and was told basically they couldn't keep my old landline number and I now needed a new one when I swapped over to them. Now i'm thinking of swapping back to 2degrees, would I be able to keep my number? What's the difference in the tech they both used that led to me being unable to keep that number the first time around? Any help is appreciated :)

Yes 100% keep the same fixed line number

If not then ask why and tell us the reason why here on Geekzone

Maybe the 2degrees number you had in the first place wasnt in the correct LICA for your area. Spark would have been delivering voice via the old NEAX, whereas 2degrees would have been straight VoIP.

Going back to 2degrees, they should be able to port any number you currently have without issue

Correct, we will request the port of your existing number.
