HELP:- VOIP

QUESTION:- You don't need a landline to use this feature, is this right? Tier one tech trying to set me up with a landline to use this feature.

I only have home broadband with 2degrees. What do I need to do, and or how do I set up VOIP. Do I need an internet number?

I'm pretty confused by your question and have no idea what your issue is.

2degrees will assign you with a number and auto provision your router for you.

You need a VoIP account with someone - whether its 2D, or 2Talk etc - which will then issue you with a number.

I use BigPipe for internet, and 2Talk for my home phone - the number was supplied by 2Talk and is an "Auckland" number although I dont live in "Auckland" under the standard call plans go.

@outofzone You need a number to run a voice / VoIP line like we need oxygen to survive :p

been trying to call 2 degrees since this morning and keep getting their overflow call center. Still waiting on a call back since this morning.

@Chief Trash Bandit ok, will give 2degrees another call and ask. Posted up a message on their fb for someone to call me. Still haven't heard from 2degrees yet. If I get their overflow call center again, I'll try again tomorrow.
