Hi

Thinking of switching from Spark to 2degrees. Fibre 100/20 unlimited. Should I consider reusing my HG659b router or pay 2degrees to send me a new one?

Thanks!

for Naked, no reason it wouldnt work.

If your going with voice i'd highly recommend changing to the fritz.

I'd also recommend the fritz if your a heavy user, as it does have better wifi :)

+1 - Data should be ok.. not sure if it handles 900/400 if you change plans... and voip/sip on Fritz works well.

Thank you. That's good to know. Yes, naked. My PCs are wired but we do use the WiFi for phones, tablets, laptops. I suppose if the Fritz isn't worse then it's probably worth paying the $15 (and accepting the increased cancellation cost) to have a 'standard setup' in case I need support.

I was in the same boat and asked the same question here (you’d find the thread if you searched). I ended up taking the Fritzbox but used my Spark HG659 for a few months, including with voice via 2Talk.

Switching out to the Fritzbox has meant a more stable device and connections, quite probably due to the Huawei’s device limitation. WiFi was not a factor as we use separate APs.

I’d recommend what I was recommended, and take the Fritzbox. It’s a much better device than the earlier model I had with Snap five or more years ago.
