Hello,

I am on a VDSL plan with Orcon with VOIP. I was hoping someone could answer a question about their supplied modem (NF18ACV).

If I purchase another modem/router (I was looking to buy the ASUS DSL-AC68U) and plan to use it as my primary modem, can i still use just the VOIP service on the NF18ACV for the phone if i configure it in bridged mode through the LAN port?

https://imgur.com/UrEreUD Seems like the settings may allow for it to work?

PPPoE is negotiated by device behind the Netcom (in bridge mode). SIP client on Netcom has no access to it.

What if the NF18ACV were set to IPoE/DHCP on its untagged Ethernet WAN port, and connected behind your other router? I can't confirm 100% whether this will work as I don't have the appropriate service or hardware to confirm, however I've done this previously with another provider and a Fritzbox acting only as an ATA behind a different router.
