I'm getting connection issues with my Fritz.box 7390 with the internet coming and going intermittently in the past week or so. The only sign of distress is the "Timeout during PPP negotiations" in my Fritz.box log. Is the problem on my end?

is it at the same time when it does it.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Give Customer care a call on 0800 022 022 and talk to them about a line test. Since it's a 7390, are you on adsl or maybe vdsl? Have you plugged any new devices into your phone jacks at home? Try removing all apart from the router to eliminate any causes, then try re-introducing. If you're a little savvy, re-punching down/terminating your jack points maybe worth a go.
