Just wondering how Christchurch people find Snap.
I am a moderate gamer, and 15gb per month downloader.

Sync 3700dn/690up. 3.2km from exchange.
I would be signing up to FS/128k 20gb, and Snap Phone.

I do see some International issues with speed, and some things about traceroutes going via chch (good for me).

I am ditching Vodafone due to their god-awful customer service and billing. The only good customer service to be had is in their forums - which is not ideal.

I have known people who are using Snap and are happy with it. As with many other ISPs, as long as you can moderate your internet usage and not expect cheap-flat-rate-plan-for-all-you-can-eat then you should be fine as most of these ISPs are providing good quality service to moderate usage paying customers. If you are within TCL cabled area, your alternative is with TCL (which I have triple service with).

We just bought this house and moved from a TCL area rental. Sorely missed!
ADSL2+ is scheduled for April 2011.
3.2 from exchange.

Maybe I should sell up!? ;)

Why aren't you keeping your TCL account and get PDQ? In all saying, SNAP seems to have good service by a handful of chch residents.

How is the overall performance of Snap ?
Does it suffered from peak time slow down like Xnet /SS ?

what about shaping ?

There were some international speed issues a couple of few weeks back but things seem to have come right. Peak hour performance seems realiable with good, usable speeds. Snap support is excellent with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
