Hi all, I registered just to post this. On my home network wifi calling wasn't working, basically we had blocked ports due to being more security conscious. Opening port 450 did it for me and NOW IT WORKS!

Unfortunately advice I got from 2 degrees when I called to check what ports should be open was;
It's nothing to do with the ports
Check wifi calling toggle is on
Go to 2 degrees shop and get software

I repeatedly asked to speak to a technical person but didn't get out through.

But thank you 2 degrees, thanks for wifi calling, it has put an end to worries over getting calls from my work.

Wish mine was that simple. 4 service calls over 12 months and all they say is its a faulty iphone....

Thinking about getting a landline again after 13 years without one.

You shouldn't have to forward any ports for this to work.

@Mahon Have you tried your SIM card in another handset or another attached to another Wi-Fi network and tested?

provide more detail and I am sure we could get it working

For anyone out there who has the issue of 2 degrees Wi-Fi calling not working sometimes, or whatsapp calling not working on an IPhone, I found following this advice worked:
Select the WiFi connection you are currently connected to.
Select Configure DNS (at the bottom of the menu).
Change Automatic to Manual.
Add 8.8.8.8 as the second DNS server (or any other DNS address of your preference).

I was having to try toggle airplane and wifi etc, kept getting no service, also WhatsApp calls didn’t work. This change worked for me.

My Wifi calling has been working flawlessly until a few days ago when it has totally stopped. Iphone 12 with Fritzbox 7490. Obviously 2 degrees broadband and cellular. It has been working on iphone 12.

Restarted everything to no avail

Put in a service call yesterday to no avail. They checked router settings and said it was fine. I do need wifi calling on due to pitiful cellular reception in my street.

Something else that has happened recently (not that I use it much at all), access to piratebay has been blocked somehow. I thought it may have been ISP, but a friend in Auckland on 2 degres fibre has no issues. This is not a real concern for me, as the wifi calling is key.

Should I reset router to factory settings?

Just not sure what to do, as it could be the router (which is a few tears old now) or could even be a recent iphone software update. 2 degrees doesnt seem overly interested as I am assuming it could well be something outside their control. I did try what the above poster suggested, but it didnt help.

Yes, as @Linux says, if your issues included WhatsApp not working, then the problem isn't with the 2degrees Wifi Calling service.

Have you tried the Wi-Fi Calling through a different WiFI connection (say at work or somewhere you know it has worked previously)? May help you ascertain where the problem lies (eg. device or router).

When I was with 2degrees I had issues with VoWiFi on my iPhone XR and also with my P30 although the P30 problem was resolved after a factory reset.

Its not exactly perfect.

I was having interesting Wifi calling issues with one iPhone today with other iPhones working fine. Same wifi network, same config... the only difference was iOS version version - 4.2 vs 4.2.1.

I spoke to 2D support, ran through a few troubleshooting steps (resetting network settings, restarting phone etc) and they confirmed that there were other reports of Wifi calling failing on iPhones. It came right by itself this afternoon.

There have indeed been more reports of VoWifi issues with some versions of iOS vs. others. I was briefly chatting to one of the handset guys a few months ago and he asked me what version mine was on. I don't remember for sure but I seem to recall him saying iOS 13 was known to be flakier in regards to VoWifi than 12 or 14.

Actually it may have been about the time of 4.2.1 that wifi calling ceased to work. Maybe its something VF could comment on as it is a service they advertise.

I had issues on every version of ios so I just turned it off quite frankly when I was still on 2degrees
