So a couple of weeks ago I switched from VDSL to UFB, all went well cut-over was seamless however I have lost my ipv6, thinking i was doing something wrong I plugged in the crappy netcomm.... same deal??

The other strange one is that no matter what I do I can only get about 600Mbps down.... far better than the 80 I was getting but still not the 900 that I should.

any ideas..

You need to provide more information like how and where you are testing to!

There are literally 100's of threads just like your one and basically the consensus is that your equipment just simply can't handle the speed.

You need to post you router make / model, specs of your PC, how you're testing etc.

I don't think Vocus supports IPv6 in all areas on Fibre yet. @Sounddude should be able to confirm if this is correct.

and this covid thing has put a bit of a spanner in the rollout plans :-(

no reason why it shouldnt ......

router is a Dell R420 with dual E5-2407 8Gb of ram tested with PFsense, opnsense and untangle all with the same results

I am a stuff-fibre customer in Wellington and lost IPv6 2 days ago. I now see I get a Vocus IPv4 address rather than Devoli so it appears I may have been migrated. I have asked Stuff-Fibre/Vocus to put my IPv6 back as that is major reason I went with them.

Well, actually, there is a reason.

PPPoE is single threaded on PFSense + OpenSense. I'm not 100% sure but I suspect UnTangle is the same. The CPU in your server is also rather old by todays standards.

Try booting your PC into Linux via a USB flash drive and test via that. If you don't get max speeds there then get a router that can do Gigabit (like a HG659 or your ISP provided router) and test via that.

I do realize its no longer a spring chicken lol however I am using DHCP not PPPoE so the single thread issue shouldn't be a problem

I did test with a netcomm NF4v (not sure on it's GBE performance) but it came out about the same....

What geograhpical area are you in? We not quite finished the rollout but will be soon.
