Rut roah...
Just been though this exercise myself, you certainly find every painful-to-deal-with legacy system in your corporate network... looking at you Tomcat servers...
From memory this isn't the first time this has happened either
Edit: Nope, that was related to using Symantec certs, but relevant as they renewed the cert in October 2018 https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=85&topicid=240977&page_no=2#2102004

Except this is not an out-of-the-way forgotten obscure never-used system. It's what all broadband customers have to use - payments, statements, settings.

Certificate installed (issued 21 July, so they already had one, probably missed installing on the sub-domain).

@antoniosk not sure there are many companies who haven't had certs slip. and as noted above, seems they had it, already just didn't install or setup correctly.

Yup, looks like it's all sorted now - sweet. And yeah - wildcard cert so as above (i.e. was not a failure renewing the cert - just in installing it to one of their servers\sub-domains I guess)
