The Fritz box tells me our fiber internet went down approximately 5:30 this morning. Anyone else have an outage? I can't reboot the ONT right now because my toddler is asleep in that room, I have rebooted the router. Plus I'm at work now. I'll call 2degrees when they open at 8am.

@freitasm is your internet ok?

Update - the connection ONT to Fritz is down, which can prevent them connecting to the ONT. I have to unplug / reboot / etc. Hopefully it's not a physical fault.

I’m in Wellington and no drop last night. I. did see a drop on the 5th ~ 1am. Most likely rolling maintenance in different areas.

Nothing in the logs to suggest this happened here.

Not sure if it's related but our 2degrees fibre (Auckland) went down from 2020-11-11 02:09:46 - 2020-11-11 02:24:59 according to my logs

Apparently the ONT is fine with a green light, but there's a problem connecting to the Fritzbox. They can't contact the ONT over the fiber, but that can be because the Fritzbox is down. I have to unplug everything and plug it back in, if it doesn't work I need to use a new LAN cable. Sounds a bit odd but I'll try it when I'm home later on.

I rebooted, no luck. I replaced the ethernet cable and it started working. So it looks like the 2degrees suggestion to replace the cable was absolutely correct. They'd have solved it within 15 mins if I'd been home to do the job. Nice work 2degrees support :)
