Woke up this morning and my internet isn't working. Red light on the Fritzbox under Info. Have rebooted the Fritz and the ONT.

Can't get through to support on the lines. No outages reported on the status page. Was meant to WFH today but now have to drive in and hope my car survives lol

Family at home still complaining there is no internet.

Just wondering if it's me as don't see anyone else complaining about it on here, reddit or other channels.

Do you not have a company mobile or personal mobile data plan you can use to WFH until you are able to get through to your ISP support to log a fault case?

Do whatever you want to do man.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear this! Due to the wild weather we're having, there have been intermittent Chorus issues throughout the weekend with broadband in the Christchurch region.

We currently know of 8 broadband customers/households affected, other issues have since been resolved.

Strongly suggest giving us a call (no known issues with the support line - 0800 022 022 opt 9) so we can check in on your specific connection, as each connection is different and yours may not be linked to a wider known issue.

Cheers,

Morgan Browne - 2degrees Social & Digital Media Manager.

I'm not sure if it affecting you directly but a number of bridges have washed away taking some fibre links with them. A bridge over the Porter river knocked out one of the links for the West Coast leading to some having outages until the links were configured to use an alternate route. With the amount of infrastructure damage from the flooding around the place there are going to be all kinds of interruptions.

No company doesn't provide a company phone.

Have tried USB tether (no WiFi card on my pc) but the connection kept freezing when I'm remoting in to clients.

Will keep trying the support number.

Forgot to mention I'm in the Aranui area.
