Morning all

I recently moved broadband providers from Now to 2degrees...

I purchased my own router a couple years ago at the suggestion of a mate (Netgear Nighthawk X8 R8500)

Unfortunately 2degrees only offer limited support for third party routers

I was able to find a handy help article on the PBtech website as below

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/NetgearISPSettings#vodafoner8500

After making sure all settings matched I'm still with out connection...

Is there anyone that can help before I just give up and take the 2degrees modem

Thanks in advance

2Degrees use PPPoE not the DHCP shown in Voda settings.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

2Degrees settings are identical to the NOW settings, i.e., both use PPPoE with vlanid = 10.

I assume you know the username and password are correct (confirmed with 2d call centre?), and everything is correctly cabled, the fibre connection is up ?

I know these are all basic steps, but worth repeating.

There doesn't look to be too many other options to configure...

Have you tried to get a connection off the other ports on the ONT (fibre box)?

This picture doesn't seem to be matching the username and password for 2 degrees.

In what way? The login name looks to be in the correct format - who knows about the password (worth checking).

My bad. Just checked snap has been bought by 2deg. Worth checking though.
