My daughter is on VDSL in Lower Hutt, getting a good speed, about 75/40

Recently a Chorus man arrived wanting to blow in fibre to the side of the house. (the microduct is already there from when the neighbour got UFB).  He said that there is no requirement to actually change to UFB, but Chorus wanted to put the fibre to the house for future-proofing.

My question is, can she keep the same IPv4 address if she changes from VDSL to UFB ??

cheers.

yes the static IP is assigned to your username not the circuit, so if you move across to UFB the static IP will stay with your account.

Excellent ! and for full marks, if she changes to UFB, does 2degress intend passing on to the customers the full benefits of Chorus's planned upgrade of plans from 100Mb/s to 300Mb/s ?

as per general rules from most companies on here, can't discuss future product details like this.
