Apparantly twice the alarm at my sisters has started to beep trouble during the night with the code being phone line.

Anyway, if the line goes out when the alarm is armed it will go off, so are these outages just teething problems with orcon or an ongoing thing?

Do they have the alarm monitored?

I wonder whether it's an Orcon dropout or simply the alarm dialler failing to connect over a VoIP connection?

The monitoring company isnt being paid at the moment, but it is still dialing sucessfully out to them. It beeps if it loses power on the phoneline..

Only ever did it on the telecom like when there was a fault on the line that took a while to fix, whereas this has just done it for a couple of times and then come right. Cant get the times since the monitoring co dont care as they are not being paid at the moment.

It would be dialling out reasonably frequently then. Does it only drop out at night?

Its just dialing out once a day, but as soon as the line voltage drops the keypads all start to beep and the trouble light comes on. It dials out once the line is back.

Just dont want to have the alarm go off by setting it and having orcon do something that drops the line breiefly.

So is this happening every night? THe alarm should dial out upon set and unset even if it's not monitored.

No, just happened twice - the dial on set and unset is happening as it should but its seldom set at the moment, will be once the working year starts again.
